What happened to the Confederate Navy records from Shreveport? I've read the Carter Letterbook with great interest, but there should have been deck logs for the Webb (maybe they burned with her) and the Cotton II. There was also a temporary Naval headquarters at Alexandria before Commander Brent packed up to go East. I'm also curious about what happened to the Quartermaster records from Shreveport.
