That's outstanding! I was aware of the King diary that you've edited, and anxiously awaiting its publication (like just about everyone else on this board, I'm sure),
but didn't know you had a forthcoming study of the entire campaign. If you don't mind giving us a sneak peak, would you mind letting us know some of the details about it? (I.e. Are you expanding on research that you've done since "ONE DAMN bLUNDER.."?) In any case, both are certainly now at the top of my "purchase as soon as published" list. :-)

You won't remember me, but we met briefly at the 2004 Mansfield reenactment, where I participated as a member of the 15th Texas on the preservation march. I'm a good friend of Doug Cooper's, whom you'll recall from his efforts as fund-raising coordinator. I greatly appreciate your offer to meet when I visit Shreveport in July. I'll gladly take you up on that, if you have a few minutes to spare. (I'm a native Shreveporter, and attended LSUS for a semester after graduating from Caddo Magnet HS in 1985. However, I've spent the last 20 years in the Navy, and don't get back to northwestern LA as much as I would like.)
