Give me a day or two, and I'll dig up my 1863 Confederate map of St. Landry Parish and make a copy of that portion of it for you. That should let you locate it pretty close.

Alabama Bayou is on the east side of the Atchafalaya, south of there. The Yankees were working out of the Morganza area at that time.
