Steve, you mentioned elsewhere on the board that you have a copy of a 1863 Confederate map of St. Landry Parish. I have a few questions. Is this a hard copy or is it a digital copy and if it is a hard copy would it be possible for you to tell me how I can locate a copy for myself. Second question, is there a place near Bayou Chicot called Prescott Springs on the map. From talking with the local elderly folk it seems nobody knows where the exact location of that place was but I feel it was probably along present day LA 106 east of Bayou Chicot.

Last question... do similar Confederate maps exist for what was once part of Calcasieu Parish but is currently Allen and Beauregard Parishes. Also your beloved Avoylles Parish?
