I enjoy and refer to your "Guide to Louisiana Confederate Military Units" on a regular basis. I will read through it again more thoroughly to try and identify the "few small units" that you mentioned as being part of your OOB.

I was aware that Thomas' brigade was not yet available for the campaign, but I was hoping to find more information regarding the delays in exchanging the various component units of that brigade. It would appear that most, if not all, other units captured at Vicksburg and Port Hudson had long since been exchanged by the time of the Red River campaign.

Thanks to folks like you and Gary, we can gain a better understanding of Confederate operations in the Louisiana District of the Trans Miss Department.
