Re: J.R. Albritton, Capt. Saulley's Co.

Captain Daniel Scully commanded Company A of the 2nd Louisiana Heavy Artillery Battalion under Lieutenant Colonel George Washington Logan. The battalion began forming in late 1863 and was mustered into Confederate service in February 1864, although a couple of companies were not completely organized until later in the year. The battalion served initially at Fort Beauregard at Harrisonburg and ultimately disbanded at Mansfield in May 1865. My book contains a brief history of the unit.
