If I may jump in here? I'm glad Doug brought up the question regarding Louisiana Confederate Pensions. Currently, our Military Records Research Service does NOT offer Louisiana Confederate Pensions. Our primary Confederate records researcher in the Birmingham, Alabama area, has local access to Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee and Texas Confederate pensions, but not Louisiana. If you or someone reading this message, would like to contact me by email about providing copies of Louisiana Confederate pensions, I'd be happy to provide the fee schedule. I need someone who is familiar with these pension and service record microfilms and that visits a library or other resource with the Louisiana Confederate pension microfilms on a weekly basis.

We don't get a lot of Louisiana Confederate pension requests, but what we do could possibly pay for a couple of tanks of gas per month.
