Re: Lieutenant General Richard Taylor

Hello,
First of all, I should apologize for getting the name wrong. The article about Richard Taylor, on the website, the "Handbook of Texas online" is written by T. Michael Parrish, where he states that the Taylors had three daughters and two sons. Though Richard Taylor puts very little personal information in his memoirs, "Destruction and Reconstruction", he does make reference to his two boys dying of scarlet fever during the war and two daughters. My intention is not to discredit any particular writer but to clarify the correct information. The other discrepancy I came across while researching Lt. Gen. Taylor, was his wife's name. In the book, Dark and Bloody Ground, by Thomas Ayres, who in my opinion is a fantastic writer, wrote that her name was Myrtle Bringier, while other sources say, Myrthe Bringier.
Any help is very much appreciated.
Sincerely,
Theresa
