The following were taken from the Regimental Muster Rolls' Record of events. All that is listed by companies for Murfreesboro.

Co. A, 1 Regiment Louisiana Cavalry

Record of Events

Dec. 5 reach Murfreesboro. Dec. 8-30 picket for the Right Wing. Dec. 31 during the heat of the battle Gen Pegram led the Regiment in our charge upon the enemy’s trains in his rear. By some misunderstanding of the order, Gen. Pegram and Co. A alone reached them capturing 7 wagons and 2 ambulances and about 200 prisoners which, the balance of the Regiment coming up, were successfully carried off.

Co. E, 1 Regiment Louisiana Cavalry

Record of Events

Participated in fight on 2nd January, 1863 at Stone River near Murfreesboro under General Breckenridge. Also, skirmished with the enemy five miles below Murfreesboro in which there were five members wounded, one of whom was left on the field.

Co. K, 1 Regiment Louisiana Cavalry

Record of Events

The 1st of January, 1863, portion of the company were dismounted and sent forward as skirmishers on the right of Breckenridge’s Division where they harassed the enemy for two hours on the evening of the 2nd January. The sharpshooters belonging to the Company were engaged with the enemy on the right at the Battle of Murfreesboro where they did good execution only one man received a wound.
