I've heard a story that says Mark Twain once served aboard the steamer New Falls City which, as we know, was sunk in the Red River to block Porter's fleet. Is this true? I've seen online sources that say yes but they don't provide their primary source and I'm uneasy about quoting websites as being 100% correct in their reporting.
