I saw your post this morning. James Cosgrove is my g grandfather, through Gustave Beauregard Cosgrove and my father Robert D,. Cosgrove. To a large extent, the info I have on James reflects that which has already been posted. It also reflects the confusion which exists as to what James actually did in the Civil War, as things in his obit contradict history and what is written in other sources.

What is your interest in him? Are you a cousin?
