I learned today, from trying to locate a pension for the Travis J. McClendon postings that in order to get the best results for names that begin "Mc" it is best to seperate those first two letters from the rest of the name. For example...
"McClendon" yielded zero (o) results from the search.
"Mc Clendon" found his pension files.
I figured this out after looking at the old online pension listings and seeing how that was worded. Many or most of you may know this already but it was news to me.
