Thank you, Jamie, for responding to my post. Yes, that is my great uncle. My GGrandfather, Charles Besson, and his 3 brothers T.D., Joseph and John all lived in Thibodaux, La. Charles enlisted with the Lafourche Creoles, Joseph and John with the Lafourche Guards, but no mention of T.D. as having been in Lafourche parish.The Booth book has identical records for Charles and T.D., and then again for John and Joseph. Charles Besson records got mixed up with Charles Besse. Silas Grisamores' writings help with Charles, but T.D. remains a mystery. I just started working on the Civil War and not sure exactly where to look for the info I need.
