NOTE:Second Lieutenant Jonathon Anders Jr. who commanded the company during the fighting at Franklin and Nashville in late 1864 appears to have been elected Captain during the April 9, 1865 re-organization in North Carolina even though he had been absent on furlough in Louisiana since January 1865. Anders and several others were captured at Waterproof, Louisiana on May 3, 1865 attempting to cross the Mississippi River from Louisiana and rejoin the regiment. Anders gave to his captors his rank of 2nd Lieutenant unaware of his election to Captain. 2nd Lieutenant William A. Kelly commanded the 14 men left of the company at the surrender at Greensboro, NC on April 26, 1865. Others were present but away from the company in hospitals and on army details in North Carolina at the end.
