I wish it were in better condition. In our project for the 7th Mississippi I have been able to take group shots, such as family portraits, and "extract" a veterans photo out of it in order to use his image as a portrait. But this one is beyond what I can repair properly.

I watched a program yesterday on the History Channel that was showing how Joseph Stalin would not only have people close to him "purged" but would take all known photographs he may have taken with them and have their image removed. The images would be hard to tell, even for photographic experts, to have been tampered with. That tells me somebody could do this if given the proper resources.
