Capt. Joseph C. Lea

Has anyone done any research on the operations of Capt. Joseph C. Lea's "independent scouts" in northeastern LA from the spring of 1864 until the close of the war? Lea and many of his men had formerly served with Quantrell in Missouri. This command primarily served as "plantation raiders", striking the abandoned plantations leased by the Federal government to Northern cotton speculators along the Mississippi.
