Roy, there's not much more I can add about the 8th Louisiana. Art's book and mine would be good starting points--both include information on the regiment's history,individual companies, casualties, officers,and additional sources to consult. There's also a good deal of material in the Louisiana Historical Collection's Association of the Army of Northern Virginia collection at Tulane University's Special Collections. The 8th Louisiana's muster book is there, as well as some reminiscences of soldiers. Good luck. Terry
