Dyspepsia Date admitted: 08/16/1863. Discharged from service: October 20th "30 days furlough. Recommended for discharge." Son of Jacob Daniel Deramus & Margaret Wolfe. Died at Tuscumbia, AL.

DERAMUS, John Frank - 6th Alabama Infantry Regiment, Company G. Severely wounded at Chancellorsville, May 2, 1863, and had his leg amputated. Shown "absent wounded" for the remainder of the war. Frank made a crutch from the forked limb of a tree and walked back to Alabama from Virginia. Son of John Deramus and Ketrena Walker.
