Thanks for the information and the suggestion regarding Victor Maurin's LA Battery. Sometimes trying to read old microfilm is difficult and I may have misread it. I will explore Maurin's Battery to determine if they might have been in the Mobile area in 1864-65. However, have you ever heard of a Martin's Battery being captured around Ft. Gaines, AL, during that time period?
