It has been a long time since I read Captain Morton's book. If I ever get a chance to buy it I will, its a great book. Anyway, this has my curiosity up. The battery was parolled at Gainesville, Alabama in May, 1865. Wouldn't it stand to reason they were in that area at least by 1865?

Virgil Roberts has a copy of that book. If he doesn't see this by tonight I'll email him and ask him what the book says on this.

Oh what I would give if I could better retain what I read :-)
