Thanks, you just saved me some research work. I was going to research Maurin's Battery to determine if they were in the Mobile, AL area in 64-65, but I saw your reply. You have helped me out considerably with your answer that Dr. Bergeron's book states this unit spent the entire war in Virginia. (coincindentally, Terry always suggests I check Dr. Bergeron's book for Louisiana units, however, he also states I never listen to him). Well, that eliminates this particular unit. I still believe I read, "Martin's Battery" on the microfilm, though it's not always easy to read handwriting from the 1800's. I am sincerely appreciative of the help you, Alan Pitts and Bill McCue have provided regarding this inquiry.
