Oh yes. Modesty is a nice quality for sure. You wouldn't believe the volume of self-promotional emails I get. Some of it very welcome and some of it oddly pushy..LOL.

I think with a completely original subject and making it through the review process of a respected (recent big hiccup aside!) university press, you should already be accorded a positive impression, albeit a sight unseen one.
