Col. Gustave A. Breaux

I am looking for information on Col. Breaux who was part of the 30th Louisiana Infantry Battalion and fought at the Battle of Baton Rouge. I know there is info in the Booth's book and also the War of the Rebellion, North and South military records book. There is nothing from the archives in Baton Rouge about him either. They do have a Gustave Breaux, but this is not the same person that I have interest in. Col. Breaux was from Lafayette and was a lawyer after the war. He seemed to be a very wealthy man, but with all that said, he does not have a Confederate marker on his tomb. That brings me to the reason of why I am asking for help in obtaining info. If I have the info on him, I could possibly get a marker to place on the tomb of this true soldier and friend of the SOUTH.

Thanks

Paul Guidry
