Cypress Grove Cemetery is located at the foot of Canal St. at 120 City Park Ave. The cemetery was established in 1840 by the Fireman's Charitable and Benevolent Association. The phone number for the cemetery is 504-482-3232.

Cypress Grove is one of the better-kept cemeteries in New Orleans and has some of the most beautiful markers of any cemetery I have seen. It is also very large, and located at one of the busiest intersections in the city. I am unsure of the amount of damage it sustained during Katrina, though the Mid-City area flooded quite a bit during rainstorms when I lived/worked in the New Orleans area.
