I am almost finished writing a book on the Battle of Richmond,KY(30 AUG 1862), and would appreciate any and all information anyone can help me with about Col.John S. Scott's 1st Louisiana Cavalry, which played a significant role in this engagement. I know that the unit was recruited mostly from around the Baton Rouge area and that Col.Scott was from East Feliciana Parrish. Any info that I can get would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
