Capt John A Hall's N Orleans Zouve Fire Brig. M.

Capt. John A. Hall's, New Orleans Zouve Fire Brigade Militia (Co. A, 5th La. Inf.?). My great grandfather was Pvt. Harry Copp James, born N. Orleans, August 7, 1848, died Biloxi September 9, 1923. Biloxi ship's pilot and harbormaster. After the war he was a young coastwise lumber schooner master. The schooner owned by a physician. Harry's wives were from Mobile and New Orleans. His parents Robert Wm. James (d. Biloxi 1882) and Mrs. Jane Ann Nixon James (d. Biloxi 1898) from New Orleans. What did Harry and the Fire Brigade Militia do between the fall of New Orleans, and the end of the war?
