Giles Lyons Wilson 9th & 12th La.Infantry

Have been trying for years to find where this Grandfather is buried.Wilson started out in Richard Taylor's regiment, was captured in Alabama March 62 on the way to Lee's ANV,sent to Columbus,Ohio and exchanged. Then into Co.M 12th La Infantry. With Loring at Baker's Creek and Johnston's relieving army outside Vicksburg.*AWOL July 8th,1863.Surrendered on roles of various units at Monroe,La.May,1865.(*Apparently Wilson must have took off after Vicksburg to be near his family back in La.)

He survived the war.Is with his family on the 1860 Census Jackson Parish,1870 Winn Parish then 1880 Claiborne Parish.Ive been to all these Parishes researching and He disapears sometime after 1880 from Claiborne.Family appears in Dallas and Collin Co,Tx 1900 on.Cant find him in either La.or Texas. His wife was Survella Adeline Oxford.I cannot find any pensions.

Any info greatly appreciated.
