My gg uncle, F. A. Hamm, was in this unit and wrote a short history of his part in the Civil War. He writes about the Virginia Bull Run and the "Juction". His short story is written on the inside of a book cover. His spelling was not the best but Mr Ross Brooks was able to iron it all out. It appears F A was a flag bearer. I was never able to confirm this but he writes about " bearer of the colors and Austin Eastman". I left a copy of his writing at camp Moore this year when my wife and i visted and talked to Randy. All total I had 3 great great uncles and my great grandfather in service during the Civil War. One was in both Union and Confederate army, but thats another story.
