Re: L.F. Romagosa - Cons 18th Regt & Yellow Jacket

Romagosa, L. F., Pvt. Co. F, Cons. 18th Regt. and Yellow Jacket Battn. La. Inf. Roll Jan. and Feb., 1864 (only Roll on file), En. Oct. 5, 1861, Camp Moore, La. Roll states Present. Roll of Prisoners of War, C. S. A., Paroled Natchitoches, La., June 6, 1865. Res. Lafourche Par., La.

Above is the information I found. There are many different spellings of our last name (i.e. Romagosa, Romagossa, Ramagos, Ramagoz), that the records sometimes show one of the variations based on penmenship, I suppose. I also found that when he enlisted it was acutally Company G of the 18th Regiment.

I'm not sure about the person you mentioned, but I would venture to say I am in some way.

Thanks so much for your post.
