I read in Dr. Bergerons Guide that Harrisons 3rd La. Cav accompanied the Western La. Infantry into southern Ark. in the fall of 1864.
Would anyone have any knowledge about what brigade the 3rd. Cav might have been attached to, or what area in Ark. they may have marched.
MY ggrandfather and his brother were both in the 3rd., but their records were destroyed. My ggrandmother received a pension, but it was only because she had his Amnesty Oath and Parole papers.
Our family bible states that George Washington Dale (the brother) was killed in Monticello, Ark. in September of 1864. I was just wondering if anyone has any knowledge if the 3rd. was indeed around Monticello in September...thank you, Dr. Dale
