There is no "park" at Pleasant Hill. The Old Pleasant Hill
Cemetery houses only a few denoted Confederate veterans, and most of these died after the war. The Old Camp Ground
Cemetery is reputed to house some Confeferate burials, also. But, I don't think very many there are marked. For the most part, I think more than a thousand Confederate
faithful lie without a fitting marker.

I have heard rumors of "mass burials." Looks like somebody
with ground penetrating radar could locate one of these
burial "pits" upon which to erect a respectful remembrance
to all the unknown fallen, both Blue and Grey.

I think you are correct in that the Federals re-buried most
of their dead in Alexandria.
