Ronny, your ggrandfather Ambrose Bryant almost certainly served in Co. K, 28th (Gray's) Louisiana instead of Thomas' regiment. The two get confused sometimes. Co. K was from Winn Parish and served as crewmen on the captured gunboat Diana in the 1863 Bayou Teche Campaign.
