I looked briefly through a secondary source for the 11th LA. this morning before work, ie: Powell 'Pat' Casey's "The Story of Camp Moore and Life at Camp Moore among the Volunteers". It does list some information on the 11th LA. Not much mentioned about guns except a small note about being issued "ninety rounds of ball cartridges" to potentially quell some trouble with the departing 10th LA. (page 48)
I know this isn't gun info, but it did also mention (page 49) a man's India rubber overcoat, which I thought you might enjoy hearing about.
