Two points that may help. Sometimes ordnance officers are mentioned in reports and correspondence found in the Official Reports. Failing that, you can usually find a complete list of brigade and division staff at different times in requisitions and receipts issued by brigade and division quartermasters and commissaries.

This is a rare title, but a nearby library has it.

Oftentimes I don't have to look any further than that.

Yes, I would start with Art's book, which lists officers who served as captains. Then go to the microfilm and get the complete lists of lieutenants and captains for each company. This way you don't miss anyone, and sometimes company officers served on staff as ordnance officers.
