Two Louisiana Burials in Richmond

The records of St. John's Episcopal Church, Richmond, reflect that offiants of the church conducted two funerals for soldiers from Louisiana. The information appears in J. Staunton Moore, ed., The Annals and History fo Henrico Parish, Diocese of Virginia, and St. John's P. E. Church. Rev. Ed., Baltimore: Genealogical Publishing Co., 1979 (Originally published 1904). Both of the entries below appear on p. 359.

On July 16, 1862, the Rev. William Norwood conducted services for Isaiah T. Norwood, Colonel of the 2nd Louisiana Volunteers, aged 36, with burial in Hollywood Cemetery.

On October 30, 1862, the Rev. William Norwood conducted services for Almira Geiger, Lieutenant of Washington Artillery, with burial in Hollywood Cemetery. No age at death is given.
