Sorry I made a huge typo, I'm a older guy and these computers are above me sometimes.

The name is H. Leve, this blade was looked at by a civil war knife collector and he called it a "Arkansas Toothpick". He did some research for me and found a family from Acadia County La with that last name.

He also told me that Acadian's were forced to fight in the civil war as they were against slavery. Many deserted during the war with some even fighting for the union. This knife has received alot of interest so I have now posted a picture with this message. Sorry about the typo.
