There is no memorial to or about John Francis here at the battlefield. You are invited to come out and see for yourself.
The only John Francis I am aware of was on parole from Vicksburg (and could have been home in Mansfield in April 1864) but we nor anybody else I am aware of has erected any type of monument or memorial to him on the battlefield. Like I said, you are more than welcome to come out and see for yourself. We are open 9-5, seven days a week.
