Mr. Foenander,
This marker is located in Shreveport, Louisiana in the care of Commander, David Hill of the the General Richard Taylor Camp, Sons of Confederate Veterans. The picture that was posted on the Florida Reenactors website was taken when this marker had just been recieved and was still on the trailer. The marker has never been placed and if if is will probably go in the Mansfield City Cemetery. There are records that even show where John Francis owned property in the Mansfield area. Also if my adding is correct. You stated that John Francis' son was born on Jan 15, 1865, and that if John Francis was killed on April 10, 1864 this could not have been him. Unless things have changed. if this child had been conceived in the last of March or the first of April then a January birth would have been correct.
