Thanks for responding. I will be ordering your book about Fort DeRussy. I was not sure of the chronology of JB Lemoine. I have three different Pension Applications that have one thing in common; his name! So I know he was in Boone's Battery, he was wounded, captured, paroled and in Dubecq's company but in what order? It's also mentioned he enlisted, he left home with Anatole Coco who had organized a company and went to Shreveport, Louisiana. He went back to Alexandria when Gen. Kirby Smith sent him to the enrollment officer, S.B. Robertson at Marksville, who used him as a messenger because he was only 17 years old. This is again from the Pension App.
