Hiriam Gustavus Roberts

This man is not found in Booth's but was hoping to find someone
familiar with his name and family, and info about the mentioned
shooting in New Orleans:

"Family history indicates that H.G. Roberts served in the Civil War
and was supposedly was killed after someone fired upon
Union soldiers, while he was being held prisoner in New Orleans.

Confirmed so far: He was born 1 March 1824 in Hinds County
Mississippi, he married Mary J. Daniel (s) 22 May 1844, in Hinds
County Mississippi. He bought land 12 miles north of Opelousas on 20
October 1859 from Pierre G. Wartelle, and the land was on the Bayou
Boeuf. There was a land sale in 1872 for the heirs of Hiriam Roberts
and Mary J. Daniels.

Possibly joined the Confederate Soldiers in Opelousas or Washington."
