Does anyone know anything about a pvt Charles H. Harris of the Crescent Regiment? According to the General Orders of the War Dept he was convicted in May of '63 of spying for the South and sentenced to hang. The sentence was commuted to hard labor by President Lincoln. Beyond that I haven't been able to find anything. Any ideas?
