If my confederate ancestor died at Charity hospital in New Orleans on Aug. 2, 1880....and he had been an officer with the Army of Northern Va....and he was a pauper at the time of his death, papers say "buried by friends" in New Orleans.........might there be a particular cemetery that a confederate officer would have been buried in?
