Dr. Jones, I certainly have no desire to question you, your credentials speak for itself, I only know that SOME of the literature speaks of Stafford being placed between Johnson and Brown on the 30th of Aug. at 2nd Manassas. I understand it was still technically Starkes brigade, as the division was still technically Taliaferro's, even though Starke was acting division commander. I guess I am being picky on this subject as my ancestor was a Lt. in Co. I, 15th La. Inf. I have become obsessed with details regarding his military service. He fought in all the great battles in Va., even survived to make it back home to Concordia Parish.
Also, I still carry on my family tradition of A PIED LES CHEVREIUL et DAIM AVEC LES LIMIERS, vous comprenez?
