Michael, Oui, je comprends. Je suis la même manière. Don't ever hesitate to question me; Lord knows I've been wrong on many occasions. Such as in this case. I went back and rechecked and found that you are abolutely correct. Starke did, indeed, take command of the division when Taliaferro was wounded at the Battle of Groveton and turned the 2nd Louisiana Brigade over to Stafford--who led it at Second Manassas. Starke then returned to the brigade shortly afterward, but once again moved up to division command (and Stafford to brigade command) when the division commander was wounded at Antietam. Starke was then killed. That's what I get for glancing at my sources instead of reading carefully. I still don't know which brigades were stationed around Stafford at Manassas but will look into it.
