Thank you for the link and the information. The linked page is a doosey to read but I did get through it, even if my eyes did cross a couple of times. Guess its the hour :) It does list Richard and his two enlistments. I will study it further in the morning and see if I can find any further connections within the "Stark(es)listings.

I did not know that the 16th and 12th were at times one and the same. I confess I was a horrible history student. My knowledge of the Civil War comes from what I learn in my family research as well as the generous help of people like you who are willing to share their time and knowledge.

I do so appreciate your help and suggestions and the information you shared with me. It does help me understand my great grandfather, his life and times in the Civil War.
