A Cavalryman's reminiscenses of the civil war, by Howell Carter is a must have for Louisiana WBTS fans. This book is a regimental history of the 1st La. Cav under Scott. Howell carter served in Co. E of the 1st LA. infantry. I found this book on LULU.com. Do a search on that site and you'll find this book. THis book reads like a novel and has entertaining stories.
