My book, The Louisiana Tigers in the Gettysburg Campaign, June-July 1863, has been copy-edited by LSU Press and is ready for layout and design work. It will appear in their Fall 2009 book catalog. Among the many never before published vignettes in this book are several accounts taken from the state archives in Harrisburg concerning the damages Hays' brigade did to Pennsylvania farmers, merchants, and millers along the route of their march and near their camp sites. I have documented one such story (with photos) in my Cannonball blog, sponsored by the York Daily Record.

Watch for this book in September!
