LSU's Dr. Cooper speaks Apr 2 to Alexandria CWRT

Louisiana State University's Boyd Professor of History, Dr. William J. Cooper, Jr., will be speaking to the Civil War Round Table of Central Louisiana on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at the Kent House PLantation Visitor's Center (3601 Bayou Rapides Road, Alexandria, 318-487-5998). The meeting will start at 6 PM. His subject will be "Jefferson Davis, Abraham Lincoln, Fort Sumter and the Beginning of the War."
Dr. Cooper also serves as the vice president of the Southern Historical Association and just published a new book last year called, "Jefferson Davis and the Civil War Era." First time visitors are free. Please show your support for our Civil War scholars by attending.
