The letters start out with the writer in the 23rd Texas Cavalry, but he shifts to McMahan's Battery in December 1863. He writes about once a week, with noticeable gaps when he is on the move. They include a pencil sketch of the fight along Bayou Rapides on April 25 (I think that is the right date) by Sam Houston, Jr.

Should have these out by this time next year.
