Well, I have decided that Camp Cornay (based on the hints in this man's letters) is about where the ruins of Governor T. O. Moore's plantation stood, south of Alexandria. Or perhaps the Chambers Plantation (now LSU Alex). From there he went to a camp on Indian Creek (says six miles away from Camp Cornay) near present-day Woodworth, Louisiana.
